Google Dominates Internet Advertising with a 93.9 Percent Share of the Online Ad Market
By Anna Johnson on February 7th, 2011Just how dominant is Google’s Internet advertising network? Well, in December 2010, ads on Google sites and the company’s Google Adsense network reached a massive 93.3 percent of U.S. Internet users.
According to comScore, Yahoo! Network Plus reached 86.6 percent of U.S. Internet users and Yahoo! sites garnered a 85.5 percent share of the U.S. online advertising market in terms of reach. AOL Advertising had 85.0 percent of the market.
Unfortunately for Yahoo!, AOL and others, Google isn’t showing any signs of giving up its place as the leading online advertising network.
