GoDaddy Lets You Register Twitter Accounts

By Anna Johnson on July 6th, 2009

Smart move on GoDaddy’s part. Now, when you register a domain name with the domain name registrar, GoDaddy also gives you the option of creating the associated Twitter account.

In other words, if you register somethingcool.com with GoDaddy you will also be asked if you want twitter.com/somethingcool.

You can also access this feature for any domain names you already have registered with GoDaddy. In this case, just go into your GoDaddy account, click on a domain name, and then click the Twitter option in the ‘Domain Enhancements’ section.

This is a nice feature that offers convenience for registrants, adds to the appeal of using GoDaddy, and generates more users for Twitter.
