Forrester Acquires JupiterResearch
By Anna Johnson on August 4th, 2008Syndicated research firm Forrester has bought fellow syndicated research firm, JupiterResearch, from MCG Capital for $23 million (in cash and assumed liabilities).
Forrester and JupiterResearch both provide syndicated research, analysis, and advice for business professionals. Forrester has traditionally focused on the marketing, strategy, IT, and technology industry markets, and while JupiterResearch is similarly focused, it is known for its strong technology focus.
Forrester, however, dwarfs JupiterResearch, with 1,000 employees and 2007 revenues of $212 million compared with JupiterResearch’s 84 employees and $14 million revenues. Forrester said it plans to retain all JupiterResearch staff.
