Fizziology Lets Entertainment Industry Track Social Media Chatter

By Anna Johnson on October 13th, 2009

Just how much buzz is that brand new Hollywood movie getting? Fizziology reckons it can tell you.

Based on technology that measures and tracks conversations about the entertainment industry on Facebook, Twitter, blogs, message boards and other social networks, Fizziology’s Weekly Fizz10 (available at http://www.fizziolo.gy) aims to give advertisers, studios, networks and content creators trackable, scored data about their buzz.

While Fizziology uses technology to measure the volume of entertainment-related comments, its trained social media analysts determine sentiment. The end result is a scoring system based on both volume and sentiment enabling entertainment properties to be compared, ranked and tracked over time.

Right now, Fizziology is focused on current theatrical movie releases. Ultimately, the company does, however, intend to track hundreds of entertainment properties and people from movies, video games, music and TV.

The Weekly Fizz10 chart is free for anyone to view (guess which movie is number one right now?) whilst advertisers, studios, networks and content creators can purchase custom research tracking and analysis.
