By Anna Johnson on March 28th, 2009

The Financial Times Group, which is owned by the British publisher Pearson, has launched a business news search engine called Newssift.

Newssift is a semantic search engine that sifts through business news, based on an index of about 4,000 business news sources, including online newspapers, blogs, news portals and research sites.

Right now, Newssift is sifting through about 120,000 articles a day and applying semantic tags to each one. The end-result will be each article categorized by business topic, organization, place, person, and theme.

This could be a very useful search tool in your arsenal. Try it out here: Newssift
