Facebook Tops 50 Most Valuable Internet Startups List

Facebook has topped the Silicon Alley Insider 50 Most Valuable Internet Startups list, with a valuation of $6.5 billion.

Other ‘startups’ in the SAI 50 Most Valuable Internet Startups list are Wikipedia, valued at $5 billion, Betfair, the online gambling site valued at $4.5 billion, NewEgg, the e-commerce site, valued at $3.2 billion, and Craigslist, valued at $3 billion.

Here is Silicon Alley Insider’s list of the Top Ten Most Valuable Internet Startups:

  1. Facebook ($6.5 billion)
  2. Wikipedia ($5 billion)
  3. Betfair ($4.5 billion)
  4. NewEgg ($3.2 billion)
  5. Craigslist ($3 billion)
  6. Mozilla ($2.7 billion)
  7. Yandex ($2.6 billion)
  8. Webkinz (aka Ganz) ($1.4 billion)
  9. GoDaddy ($1.4 billion)
  10. Demand Media ($1.3 billion)
