Digital Out of Home Advertising To Reach $3.7 Billion in 2013

By Anna Johnson on November 11th, 2009

Research by BIA/Kelsey suggests that digital out-of-home advertising – including digital billboards and place-based digital networks – will grow from $2.2 billion in advertising revenues in 2009 to $3.7 billion in 2013.

This growth – a compound annual growth rate of 13.5 percent – far exceeds the growth of traditional out-of-home (e.g. billboard) advertising revenues which is expected to grow by just 1.4 percent over the same period, from $4.4 billion in 2009 to $4.6 billion in 2013.
