Consumers Prefer Digital Coupons
By Anna Johnson on May 2nd, 2011A survey by digital grocery coupon provider Cellfire Inc. indicates that consumers regard digital grocery coupons as more environmentally friendly, easy to use, convenient, and quicker to use than coupons from newspapers, the mail or printable web coupons.
A survey of 2,000 of Cellfire’s members in December 2010 found that most ranked digital coupons as superior to coupons from newspapers, mail and printed web coupons in terms of environmental friendliness (85 percent), ease-of-use (74 percent), convenience (73 percent) and time saved at checkout (72 percent).
Of course, given that Cellfire was surveying its own members – people who are obviously attracted to digital coupons – these findings aren’t all that surprising!
Even so, we are witnessing the rising popularity of digital coupons and such factors as ease of use, convenience, time saved are likely to be behind that rise.
