Consumers Hungry For Mobile Content

Analysis by MyMojo, which distributes digital content for mobile devices (ringtones, music, games, wallpapers, videos, and applications, etc) shows that consumers are as hungry as ever for mobile content.

Demand for mobile video content has risen, with the most popular mobile video content consisting of news, sports, and music-oriented videos.

Nevertheless, traditional mobile content such as ringtones and wallpapers are still by far the most popular types of content.

The most popular content downloaded from MyMojo in May 2009 were as follows:

  • Ringtones: 71 percent
  • Wallpapers: 16 percent
  • Games and Applications: 9 percent
  • Mobile video: 4 percent
