Christmas and New Year Message

By Anna Johnson on December 22nd, 2009

Wow, what a year 2009 has been!

The economy in many countries hits rock bottom… even Internet advertising dives… but there are signs of a recovery.  MySpace slows, Facebook and YouTube grow, while Twitter and iPhone apps explode. Yahoo gets a new CEO. Microsoft launches Bing and buys Yahoo search. eBay divests StumbleUpon and Skype. Time Warner divests AOL. Online video gains serious traction…

Within the Internet marketing niche, Derek Gehl leaves the Internet Marketing Center, StomperNet co-founder Andy Jenkins sells to his business partner Brad Fallon, Perry Belcher and Mike Filsaime quit guru-dom (for different reasons), Ed Dale starts building his niche empire with plans to take Thirty Day Challenge, Inc. public, and Joel Comm appears on the Daily Show for his ifart iPhone app.

Yep, it’s been just another year in Internet marketing. (And, of course, a million other Internet marketing related things happened as well!)

Next year, 2010, promises to be just as eventful (isn’t every year?) and we can all look forward to more changes to rock our Internet marketing world.

Which really means that if you’re in the Internet marketing business, you really must embrace change. Internet marketing is NOT a place for people who want things to stay the same!

In any case, from all of us here at Kikabink, let me wish you a very Merry Christmas (if you celebrate it) and a Happy New Year!

We’ll be taking a break from publishing Kikabink News between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. We do, however, look forward to seeing you in 2010 with more of the latest Internet marketing news, commentary, research, strategies, tips and more to make your Internet marketing more profitable!
