Most consumers prefer to submit customer feedback, reviews and surveys via texting on their mobile device than via the web, according to research by Buzzbeeper.
Based on Buzzbeeper’s customer trials, consumers not only prefer submitting reviews and feedback via texting, but also do so with a greater degree of engagement.

Domain names appearing in pay-per-click (PPC) ads that include the same keywords as those typed in by search engine users may deliver double the number of clicks as other domain names.
In a recent study by U.K. based Memorable Domains, identical advertisements for three domains were displayed on Google Adwords. The only difference between the ads was the domain name shown.

Internet users trust websites 20 percent more than they did 5 years ago and this is largely due to websites being more attractive or ‘pretty’, according to a new University of Melbourne study.
According to Dr. Brent Coker, of the University’s Faculty of Business and Economics, the increase in online consumer trust is largely due to the visual appeal of websites. Dr Coker said:

Google may have the biggest search engine share overall, but when it comes to specific industries or verticals, Bing or Yahoo may generate a disproportionate amount of organic search traffic.
In other words, Bing or Yahoo may generate more traffic to websites in certain verticals than their overall search engine market share might otherwise suggest. Consequently, depending on your industry, lifting your Bing or Yahoo search engine rank might actually be more effective in increasing the volume of traffic to your site than a corresponding lift in your Google rank.

More than 8 out of 10 or 84 percent of U.S. hotels, bed and breakfast establishments (B & Bs) and innkeepers say it’s important to let travelers book accommodation via a mobile device, according to a poll conducted by TripAdvisor.
While 84 percent of survey respondents favor allowing travelers to book their accommodation online, the enthusiasm for online bookings varies somewhat between the type of accommodation business: 92 percent of hotels, 77 percent of B&Bs, and 77 percent of innkeepers say a mobile marketing program that enables online bookings is important.

Surprise, surprise. People who own tablet devices such as Apple’s iPad tend to spend less time on desktops, laptops, netbooks and e-readers.
According to the results of The Nielsen Company’s survey of 12,000 U.S. tablet users, 77 percent of tablet users now use their tablet devices for actions they previously performed on their laptops or desktop computers.
