Can You Really Make Money Taking Surveys?

The reality is that research firms view the Internet as a huge database of customers and prospective customers they can tap into for the purposes of product development, market research and building segmented databases. They are eager to build ‘panels’ of people they can survey for these purposes. The more people on these panels, the more helpful, meaningful and statistically relevant the results of their surveys.
Consequently, research firms are willing to offer all kinds of gifts – including cash – to entice people to participate in surveys and provide their feedback.
How do research firms find the right people to participate in such surveys? One of their chief methods is to enlist the help of lots of affiliates and/or promoters such as Tradeaclick which, in turn, promote such paid surveys online.
Of course, while you can win prizes, earn rewards and even make money taking surveys… you’re not going to get rich by taking random surveys. As far as I know, there’s no-one on the Forbes 400 who made their money taking surveys! On the other hand, participating in free online surveys is a way to get some great freebies, get entered into competitions with cool prizes, and make some extra cash, with very little effort.
