Awe.sm – A URL Shortener For Your Own Domain

By Anna Johnson on May 11th, 2009

Awe.sm is a paid domain name shortener that offers a range of analytics to help Internet marketers track how their links and content are used.

According to TechCrunch, which uses Awe.sm, the tool creates a number of links, where each link is different according to where it is used. For example, a link featured in an email is different to a link posted on Twitter.

Awe.sm also creates shortened domain names that are unique for your domain. This is great because it means that spammers (who have long abused domain name shortening services) – won’t undermine your use of a given (shortened) domain name.

The service is a very reasonable USD $99 per year, especially since you get 10,000 unique URL creations per month!

(Love the domain name!)
