Average Cost Per Clicks Steady in June 2009

Data from Efficient Frontier shows that the average cost of clicks on search engines remained roughly steady between May and June 2009.

Across the four categories tracked – automotive, finance, retail and travel – the average cost per click was USD $0.75, slightly above the average of $0.74 in May 2009.

In each category, the average click costs were:

  1. Automotive: $0.49 ($0.47 in May)
  2. Finance: $1.55 ($1.52 in May)
  3. Retail: $0.40 ($0.40 in May)
  4. Travel: $0.56 ($0.56 in May)
