Auto Repair is Fastest Growing Category on Google Adwords
By Anna Johnson on October 4th, 2010AdGooroo’s list of the 20 fastest growing categories in paid search reveals that advertisers in the auto repair, maintenance and collision vertical increased their spend by the most on Google Adwords in August 2010. Growth in this category was 201.1 percent between July and August, reaching $196,876 in total monthly spending.
Other big spending increases were made in the categories of: Maine bed and breakfasts, which had the second biggest growth rate at 131.4 percent hitting $87,500 in total monthly spending; timesheet software, which grew by 120.3 percent and reached $130,052; windows and doors, which grew by 111.7 percent to reach $66,818; and Suzuki dealers, which grew by 111.6 percent to reach $53,351.
AdGooroo derived its results by estimating the PPC spend for 246,214 advertisers across 3,515 verticals, removing categories with less than $50,000 in monthly spending.

Thanks for the post.
There has been a huge surge lately of internet marketers going “local” and teaching local businesses how to use the Internet. Many of them are targeting niches that have been slow to take to the internet – auto repair and bed and breakfast would be two of these.
