Artiklz – Free Tool For Discovering What People Are Saying Online
By Anna Johnson on January 8th, 2009Want to keep track of what people are saying online about a topic, an issue, a product, a company, a person – even you? Enter Artiklz, a new ‘conversation search engine.’
Artiklz allows you to generate and aggregate the discussions taking place across the most popular blogging and commenting platforms, forums and social media sites.
Currently in public beta release, Artiklz allows you to enter in your keywords and then generates the news, articles, posts, comments, etc from various content sharing, rating, review and blogging services, as well as social news sites such as
Digg, Reddit, FriendFeed, Delicious and Mixx.
I can think of several ways Internet marketers can make good use of Artiklz. Here are just three:
- To help you understand what’s on the minds of your prospects and customers;
- To help you build customer profiles based on greater insights into their hopes, fears, beliefs, values and attitudes; and
- To identify what people are saying about you, your competitors, and others of interest to you.
While we’ve been able to track people’s conversations before, the wonderful thing about Artiklz is that it allows you to consolidate the information you want in ONE place.
No need to visit lots of different sites or subscribe to lots of different feeds!
If you have a blog, you can also use Artiklz to aggregate discussions about your blog posts in one location. You can also receive email, SMS, Instant Messages or web-based notifications whenever comments are made about your blog on one of the tracked services. There are some other neat features too.
