Apple’s Quarterly Revenues and Profits Exceed Expectations
By Anna Johnson on January 24th, 2009Strong iPod and laptop sales helped Apple increase its quarterly revenues and profits over last year, despite a decline in sales for most other technology and consumer electronics companies during the holidays.
Apple’s October to December quarterly revenues were $10.17 billion, far above the $7.9 billion last year, and above analysts’ expectations of $9.74 billion.
Meanwhile, the company’s quarterly profit was $1.61 billion, above the $1.58 billion achieved in the same quarter in 2007.
