Apple and Adobe have agreed to work together to develop a new Flash player for Apple’s iPhone and iPod digital media devices.

To date, iPhone and iPod users have had little joy trying to view Flash. Flash Lite, a version designed specifically for mobile devices, has never been endorsed by Apple and the general (desktop) version of Flash runs too slowly on the Apple devices.

Evidently, after protracted discussions, the companies have agreed that Apple and Adobe will work together to develop a new version of Flash that meets the requirements of Apple and the iPhone and iPod platforms.
