Ad Traffic From Mobile Internet Devices Growing Faster Than Smartphones
By Anna Johnson on April 15th, 2010Advertising network AdMob says traffic from mobile Internet devices has grown faster over the past year than traffic from smartphones and other kinds of mobile phones.
Between February 2009 and February 2010, traffic to AdMob’s mobile advertising network from mobile Internet devices – as indicated by mobile ad impressions – has grown to account for 17 percent of AdMobile traffic.
Apple’s iPod Touch is responsible for most of this traffic, but some is also attributable to the Sony PSP and Nintendo DSi.
