9 Out of 10 Top Ten Viral Videos are Music Videos

Based on tracking viewership of both officially syndicated video clips and viewer-driven social video placements, Visible Measures’ data is based on analysing 200 million Internet videos displayed on 150 video-sharing platforms including YouTube, MySpace, MTV, Viacom and others.
The top 10 viral videos in 2009 were:
- Twilight Saga: New Moon
- Beyonce: Single Ladies
- Lady Gaga: Poker Face
- Soulja Boy: Crank Dat
- Susan Boyle: Britain’s Got Talent
- Michael Jackson: Thriller
- Miley Cyrus: The Climb
- Michael Jackson: Beat It
- Mariah Carey: Touch My Body
- Lady Gaga: Just Dance
