80 Percent of Internet Users Concerned About Online Privacy

A recent study by Burst Media has found that 80 percent of web users are concerned about online privacy.

Interestingly, of those surveyed, only about half of those aged between 18 and 24 thought that websites were likely to collect non-personally identifiable information, and only a third believed that websites were likely to collect personally identifiable data.

On the other hand, 70 percent of respondents over 55 believed websites tracked non-personally identifiably information.

I guess we grew more cynical with age…
