43 Percent of U.S. Businesses Using Social Media To Win Customers
By Anna Johnson on June 13th, 2011Forty-three (43) percent of U.S. businesses are using social networking to win new customers, according to research from Regus.
This figure is eight percentage points higher than last year’s result and Regus’ research also reveals that:
- 50 percent of U.S. businesses use websites such as Twitter to engage, connect with, and inform existing customers;
- 55 percent of U.S. firms encourage employees to join social networks such as LinkedIn and Xing; and
- 38 percent of U.S. companies invest up to 20 percent of their marketing budgets on social networking activity.
