30 Percent of Used Car Buyers Happy To Buy Unseen
By Anna Johnson on September 14th, 2009Analysis by U.K. based online used car retailer, Autoquake.com, has found that more than three out of ten (30.5 percent) of its customers choose to have their car delivered to them after purchase, thereby purchasing the car unseen.
Indeed, the number of used car buyers ordering cars without seeing them beforehand has increased over the past six months; in March just over a quarter of Autoquake.com customers opted for delivery. By August the figure was over 35 percent.
According to Autoquake.com CEO, Garry Hobson, more people are buying cars unseen due to rising comfort with large-scale purchases online, as well as certain assurances provided by Autoquake.com itself.
“Used car buyers are becoming more comfortable shopping online,” said Autoquake.com CEO, Garry Hobson. “With full descriptions of every car, and 40 high quality pictures showing the interior and exterior in detail, there’s no need to see the vehicle before taking delivery. Every car comes with Autoquake.com’s 7 day money back guarantee, so shoppers can buy with confidence.”
Visitors to Autoquake.com also benefit from a ‘condition viewer’, which shows up any cosmetic blemishes on the car.
