Apple has announced that iPhone and iPod Touch users have downloaded over 3 billion apps from the company’s App Store globally.

That’s 3 billion applications downloaded in less than 18 months… pretty impressive!

Even Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, seemed surprised: “Three billion applications downloaded in less than 18 months – this is like nothing we’ve ever seen before.”
